PAW 2007
The Pre-Assembly Workshops 2007 will take place at St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church in Kitchener, Ontario, on Saturday, June 2, 2007 with
the theme
The workshops offer tools and strategies for new and seasoned elders alike, with a line-up of
knowledgeable and gifted workshop and worship leaders. PAW is developed with the specific needs of ruling elders in mind, but
everyone—ruling elders, lay leaders, and teaching elders—are welcome.

Serving as a Ruling Elder: A Course in the Basics
What are the roles and responsibilities of elders? Join this course and explore the multifaceted answers to
this and other question with the Elders' Institute online. The purpose of the course is to focus on the role of the ruling
elder within The Presbyterian Church in Canada and its
congregations and courts.
The course is intended for anyone who is interested in eldership: new elders looking for some orientation to their
ministry, potential elders considering a call to eldership, and current elders wanting a 'refresher.'
The instructor is Rev. Karen Horst.
