Pre-Assemby Workshops (PAW) 2009
On June 6, about 140 people participated in
PAW 2009 at Chedoke Presbyterian Church in Hamilton, Ontario. Stephen Farris,
Dean of St. Andrew's Hall, led worship. This year's lunchtime speaker was
Cheol Soon Park,
Moderator of the 134th General Assemby.
One participant commented,
“I would like to see all
elders take the same courses.”
Visit
www.eldersinstitute.ca to view photos from PAW 2009. Soon we’ll also
have the afternoon's worship service posted for you to listen to.

Business as usual during study leave
Roberta Clare, Director of the Elders' Institute, will be combining her vacation
with a study leave so will be out of the office from July 1 to December
31. Business will continue as usual, however, with new courses and
workshops in development. Kathleen Bolton, Communications Administrator,
will respond to emails and phone calls, including coordinating Roberta’s
workshop schedule for 2010. Phone our toll-free line, 1-866-794-8888, or
email elders@standrews.edu if you’d
like Roberta to lead a workshop at your church or for your presbytery next year. Click here for descriptions of possible workshop topics. Roberta is also happy to
develop new workshop topics to meet the needs of your elders.
