Register before May 1 for Pre-Assembly Workshops (PAW) 2010
This year, PAW will take place at Union Presbyterian Church and Camp MacLeod in Albert Bridge, Cape Breton on Saturday, June 5. Join with other Presbyterian elders from across Canada for a day of workshops, worship, lunch and
refreshments,
and receive a specially made pew cushion (homemade by AMS members). This year's theme is hospitality ministry.
Register before May 1 to be sure to get a spot in PAW 2010 since registration is limited. Groups of six or more from the same church receive an additional discount! Now Accepting Registrations for Pilgrimage 2010!
The Elders' Institute, in partnership with Peregrinatio Studies, is offering a 17-day pilgrimage to recognize the 450th anniversary of the founding of the Church of Scotland. "Pilgrimage 2010, from Noyon to Iona: Exploring the Reformed Heritage" begins in Paris, France, on September 30, stops in Germany and Switzerland and concludes in Glasgow, Scotland on October 16. Enrich your faith and leadership by joining in this pilgrimage.

Cost: $3,195 CDN plus taxes (based on double occupancy). Price is subject to fluctuations in international currency rates. If you have

Practical Presbyterian Polity
There are still some spots left in the online course Practical Presbyterian Polity written by Tony Plomp and taught by Hans Kouwenberg. Suitable for elders or M. Div. students, this course offers a practical and interactive approach for learning about Presbyterian polity and develops the necessary skills to apply it to church life. Topics include effective session meetings, term service, ordination for life and many other subjects. It runs May 17 to June 25. Contact Stephen Farris re M. Div. credit.
