Elders, we seek your wisdom!
Visit the Elders' Corner on the Elder's Institute website to offer your suggestions about typical scenarios ruling elders encounter in their ministry. You may submit your individual answers or else download the scenarios to take them to your session first. There are no trick questions, and there is most likely not one but several good answers.

Let's hear from you!

Online learningFall 2010
Are you looking for training on elder basics? If so, the online course Serving as a Ruling Elder could be just what you need. The next class is offered Nov. 1 to Dec. 10, taught by Stephen Hayes. If you know of someone else who's a new ruling elder or considering a call, kindly pass on this information.

The popular new course Serving as a Clerk of Session: Boning Up On the Basics, written and taught by Ted Siverns, is once again full for this fall's class. If you're interested in this course but didn't get in this fall, call us toll-free at 1-866-794-8888 or email Kathleen Bolton, communications administrator.

The Elders' Institute is pleased to offer it's first online course in Mandarin this fall. Leadership Training for Chinese Churches: Reaching Your God-Given Potential (領袖培訓: 發揮神所賜予的潛能), written and taught by Dr. Shuling Chen, is scheduled to run Oct. 18 to Nov. 26. All course content, instruction, online registration and technical support will be in Mandarin.

The cost for a six-week online course is $100. Group discounts are available for churches with 5 or more registrants.
