Marilyn has been a Presbyterian since she was a teenager and has thoroughly appreciated her faith journey at MacNab Street Presbyterian Church in Hamilton, Ontario. She has volunteered in all areas of the church and became an elder in 1978. Marilyn has been Moderator for the Presbytery of Hamilton 1996–1997 and Moderator for The Synod of Southwestern Ontario 2010–2011. She has taken elder training courses with the Elder’s Institute and lay education courses at Knox College, which earned her a Certificate in Christian Faith & Life 1 & 2. Marilyn does quite a bit of worship leading, and this fulfills her calling as a lay person.
She is employed full-time at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton as a Health Records technician and enjoys singing, baking and gardening.
