Susan Swanney was born and lived in Scotland until 1999. She was brought up in a Christian home and at an early age gave her life to the Lord. At the age of eighteen she became a member of The Church of Scotland and served in many different ways including Sunday school teacher, Lifeboy leader, Girls Club leader, Women's Guild, and an elder. She was also involved with Scripture Union.
In her business life, Susan Swanney was employed by H.M. Inspector of taxes for several years, but, after a lengthy illness, she retrained with the Civil Survive Benevolent Fund as a home visitor and also worked in that sphere with several charitable organizations. She also trained in Christian counseling. At present, Susan is an elder, as well as Director of Pastoral Care, at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford, BC.
