property as set out in the Creative Commons Canada Licence:

Additional Terms for Elders' Institute Materials

In addition to the Creative Commons Canada Licence, the following policies governs the use of Elders' Institute matierals including online courses, print and electronic resources, tools (website), workshops materials and handouts.

Online Courses

All courses produced by the Elders' Institute are governed by the copyright laws of Canada and may not be downloaded, stored electronically, sold or redistributed without written authorization from the director of the Elders' Institute or named designate (named by St. Andrew's Hall).

The copyright remains with the Elders' Institute and has not been released to the public domain.

To protect the confidentiality of all course participants, no content from online course discussions and chat rooms may be disclosed under any circumstances.

The director of the Elders' Institute or the director's designate oversees and monitors all online courses including postings, discussions, chat room sessions and teaching materials.

Publications

Publications, including print and electronic resources, are purchased for a small fee from the Elders' Institute. Once purchased, permission is granted to the purchaser to distribute copies of handout materials to workshop participants in his or her local congregation. No other distribution of publication material is allowed without the permission of the director of the Elders' Institute or named designate.

Workshops

We encourage workshop participants to share workshop information with their sessions. However, the teaching content and handout materials of Elders' Institute workshops are under copyright and may not be reproduced or distributed without authorization of the director of the Elders' Institute or named designate.
