Getting a Handle on our Faith: Understanding the Subordinate Standards of the PCC

This course will introduce participants to:

• The Westminster Confession and, perhaps, its catechisms as well (first written in 1647, and adopted by the PCC in 1875 and 1899)
• The Declaration Concerning Church and Nation (1954)
• Living Faith (1984, adopted in 1998).

All of these documents will be accessible online. We will briefly consider the nature and purpose of reformed and Presbyterian creeds within the context of our ecumenical and catholic creedal heritage; and, spend most of our time examining and discussing several case histories showing the importance and relevance of our creeds for Presbyterian elders.
