Building Circles of Faith and Trust: Wise and Effective Sessions, Boards and Committees - Barbara McLean

Sessions, Boards of Managers and committees are instruments within the congregational community for the advancement of God's kingdom. This self-directed workshop will aid ruling elders, teaching elders and lay leaders to develop new ways of building effective working relationships and to become more creative and effective in carrying out their tasks. The self-directed workshop is composed of four Steps:

1. Remembering Signs and Wonders—Recalling Your Congregation's History
2. Assessing Your Congregations's Health
3. Identifying Your Congregation's Strengths
4. Working Effectively and Faithfully Together

The self-directed workshop also contains a section for workshop leaders and a 'Toolbox of Resources'—practical suggestions and examples of ways to hold more effective meetings.
